Start With Where You Will Be

Your location and your weekday schedule help us decide how to meet. I am Bridget Moore, LCSW, and I offer individual therapy in person in Shelton and online across four licensed states. You can use these pages to compare the formats before we talk about the concern bringing you here.

Online in Four States

I am licensed in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Rhode Island. An online appointment happens only while you are physically in one of those states. Choose your state below to read about sessions, practical arrangements and keeping the same therapist when school or work changes your plans.

In Person in Shelton

My office is at 1000 Bridgeport Ave, Suite 307, Shelton, CT 06484. Connecticut residents can consider an office appointment or an online conversation. The town pages describe those choices without assuming how long your trip takes. Parking details are shared before your first visit, and appointments are during weekday daytime hours.

I want the appointment to fit the place you are in and the work you want to do.

School Year, Summer and Work

Studying in one licensed state and spending summer in another can still leave room for our ongoing work. The same applies to living in one and working in another. Tell me where you will actually be during the appointment, including an office or a temporary stay, rather than only your mailing address.

Adults Choosing Therapy for Themselves

I work with adults ages 18 and up, especially people roughly 20 to 45. College, graduate and medical students, young professionals, new parents and adults reconsidering their careers bring different concerns. Anxiety and stress are my main focus; depression, life transitions and parental overwhelm also belong in these conversations.

What We Discuss

A recent moment can be enough to begin: rereading an email, avoiding an assignment or feeling overwhelmed by a small change. I draw on CBT, ACT, DBT skills, psychodynamic therapy and person-centered therapy. We choose goals together and connect the discussion to something you can try during the week, without promising a result.

Fees and Appointment Length

The intake fee is confirmed during your free consultation. Our intake is 60 minutes and covers your history and goals. Individual appointments are $175 for 45 minutes, weekly or every other week. I accept some insurance plans and offer private pay, and your free 15-minute consultation can include questions about your plan; superbills are available for possible out-of-network reimbursement, which your plan determines and does not guarantee.

Room in Your Day

I see clients during the day on weekdays, not evenings or weekends. Online sessions need a private place, a phone or computer and a stable connection. If a lunch hour or a gap between classes seems possible, consider the whole appointment rather than a few spare minutes. We can discuss availability before scheduling.

A Consultation Before the Intake

Call (203) 308-5030 or email bridget@bmoorecounseling.com to request a free 15-minute consultation. I confirm arrangements with you. If you’d rather write, the contact form reaches me too. Bring your questions about location, meeting format and the issue you would like us to work on.
