Therapy for Fairfield, CT Residents
Make room to consider family expectations, repeated patterns and the choices you want to make for yourself.
Your Priorities Alongside Other Expectations
Choosing a program, a job or a new direction can feel more complicated when you are also thinking about everyone else’s reaction. I see Fairfield residents who want to examine those pressures without losing track of their own priorities. Students, professionals, new parents and career changers can bring a specific decision or a recurring pattern. Appointments take place at my Shelton office or online while you are in Connecticut.
Adults Asking Their Own Questions
My practice is for adults 18 and up who are seeking therapy for themselves, particularly people roughly 20 to 45. You may be finishing graduate school or adjusting to a new role at home. Anxiety, depression and life transitions can overlap. I listen to what you want help with rather than assuming another person’s concern is your goal.
The Pattern You Keep Recognizing
I draw on psychodynamic therapy to look at connections between earlier experiences and current reactions. We might discuss expecting criticism, keeping needs private or repeatedly looking for permission before deciding. Understanding a connection gives us something to examine now; it is not a claim that one past experience explains every choice or difficult feeling.
An Action Connected to Your Values
ACT can help us consider what you want a decision to reflect. We may compare your priorities with expectations you have accepted without examining them. A next action could be asking for information or practicing a conversation. I do not promise certainty or make the decision for you, even when the options feel uneven.
A Conversation in the Shelton Office
My office address is 1000 Bridgeport Ave, Suite 307, Shelton, CT 06484. I do not describe a Fairfield office or assume a travel time for your visit. If sitting in the same room appeals to you, we can discuss availability. Parking details are shared before the first appointment, which is a 60-minute intake.
Your goals can be discussed without turning them into a vote among everyone around you.
Bridget Moore, LCSWThe Online Connecticut Choice
Online therapy is available while you are physically in Connecticut at session time. Find a private place where you can speak without someone listening, and use a phone or computer with a stable connection. We can discuss using online and office sessions at different times. Let me know if your usual location changes before we meet.
History and Goals We Set Together
The intake includes mental health, medical, social, family, educational and work history. We use that background to agree on goals rather than rushing into advice. Later appointments may include checking a thought with CBT or practicing a communication skill. Your feedback about what helped or did not help guides the next conversation.
Fee, Frequency and Weekday Hours
The intake fee is confirmed during your free consultation. Ongoing sessions are $175 for 45 minutes, weekly or every other week. I offer weekday daytime hours only, with no evening or weekend appointments. I see clients with some insurance plans and also offer private pay. Use a free 15-minute consultation to bring up your plan and payment questions. Superbills are available for possible out-of-network reimbursement; your plan determines benefits, and reimbursement is not guaranteed.
Asking Before Committing
Call or email to request a free 15-minute consultation about your situation, the meeting format and scheduling. If you prefer writing, send me a request through the contact form. Between appointments, texts can cover quick wins and scheduling changes, not emergency care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911 instead of waiting for a reply.
