Online Therapy in New Jersey
A private online conversation for the work stress, second guessing or change you have been carrying through the week.
Look at What Work Brings Home
Replaying a conversation with a manager can take over an evening long after the workday ends. I offer online therapy to adults physically in New Jersey, including young professionals, students, new parents and people changing careers. Many clients are roughly 20 to 45; I work with adults 18 and up seeking therapy for themselves. We can start with the situation you keep returning to.
The State You Are Actually In
A New Jersey online session takes place while you are physically in New Jersey. Your mailing address does not replace that requirement. I am licensed in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Rhode Island. I am licensed in New Jersey as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), license 44SC06601100. Tell me where you will join from each time, including work, a family visit or a place you are staying temporarily.
Living Here, Working Elsewhere
If home is in New Jersey and work is in another licensed state, we can discuss an online appointment from a private office during daytime hours. It needs the full session time and a stable connection. Check your location for that appointment, rather than assuming the work address and home address follow the same rule.
Continuing Between School and Summer
Students may spend the school year in Massachusetts and summer in New Jersey. Our work can continue if you are in a licensed state when we meet. We keep the goals and background already discussed while adjusting to the next schedule. Tell me about the change before the next appointment so we can plan accurately.
Sorting Facts From Predictions
A short email may become a prediction that your job is at risk. I draw on CBT to check the thought against what happened and what remains unknown. We can develop a response to repeated second guessing without pretending that real workplace demands are imaginary. Bring an example from your week so the discussion stays specific.
We can examine the work question before it becomes a verdict about your whole future.
Bridget Moore, LCSWBefore a Career Change
I use ACT to examine what matters to you when options have different costs and risks. We may compare responsibilities, time with family and the kind of work you want to do. Therapy is a place to think through those priorities; the decision stays yours, and I do not promise that any choice will feel certain.
How Regular Meetings Work
Our 60-minute intake covers mental health, medical, social, family, educational and work history before we set goals together. Later sessions can include practicing a limit, examining low motivation or reviewing a skill you tried. I schedule during weekday daytime hours only. Evenings and weekends are not available, including for online appointments.
Knowing the Cost
The intake fee is confirmed during your free consultation. Individual appointments are $175 for 45 minutes, weekly or every other week. I accept some insurance plans, and private pay is also an option. Bring your plan questions to a free 15-minute consultation. I can provide superbills for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Your plan determines benefits, and reimbursement is not guaranteed. Ask about costs while considering the time you can set aside regularly.
A Place to Speak Freely
Use a phone or computer and a stable connection in a private space. Roommates and coworkers should not be listening to the conversation. Texts between sessions are for scheduling and quick wins, not emergencies. For immediate crisis support, call or text 988, or call 911 rather than waiting for an appointment or reply.
