Online Therapy in Rhode Island

Discuss changing routines, anxious thoughts and the responsibilities competing for your attention from a private place in Rhode Island.

Room for Your Changing Responsibilities

Becoming a parent, beginning a program or taking a different job can change how much attention you have for yourself. I meet online with adults physically in Rhode Island who want to examine that adjustment. My focus includes people roughly 20 to 45, and my practice is for adults 18 and up choosing therapy for themselves. Anxiety, depression and parental overwhelm can be part of the same conversation.

Location Before the Login

For an online Rhode Island appointment, you need to be physically in Rhode Island when the session happens. A permanent address here does not cover a day elsewhere. I am also licensed in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Jersey. Tell me your location each session, including a temporary stay, and let me know about changes before we meet. I am licensed in Rhode Island as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), license ISW04933.

School and Summer in Different States

Studying in Rhode Island and spending summer in Connecticut can include continuing care with me. Both locations are within my licensed states. That continuity means we can revisit your goals with your history already discussed. If a break takes you outside the four states, we must reschedule or meet when you are back.

From Home to the Workday

Living in Rhode Island and working in another licensed state may leave an option for a lunch hour appointment. You still need privacy and enough time for the conversation. Check where you will physically be at that hour. A change in your work location belongs in our scheduling discussion, even if you have not moved home.

The Pressure of Doing It Right

Repeated checking can turn a small parenting or school decision into an exhausting task. I draw on CBT to examine what you fear will happen and how you respond to that fear. We can practice a more balanced answer and review the attempt later, without requiring you to arrive already confident in every decision.

Your responsibilities matter, and so does the person carrying them.

A Plan That Accounts for Energy

Sleep loss or low motivation can affect the size of a step you can try. I use practical skills to help you identify what needs attention now and what can wait. We might discuss a specific request for help or one connection you want to maintain. The plan should reflect the week you actually have.

Daytime and a Private Space

I am a mom of three and keep weekday daytime hours, with no evenings or weekends. Online appointments may fit a gap in your day if you can arrange privacy. Use a phone or computer with a stable connection. A conversation needs room for your attention, not just an open screen while other people listen nearby.

Intake, Goals and Payment

The intake fee is confirmed during your free consultation. The intake takes 60 minutes for history and shared goals. Individual therapy is $175 for 45 minutes, weekly or every other week. I work with some insurance plans and with clients who pay privately. Ask me about your plan in our free 15-minute consultation. Superbills can support a request for possible out-of-network reimbursement, but your plan decides benefits and reimbursement is not guaranteed.

Questions Before Committing

A free 15-minute consultation lets us discuss what you need and whether my location and scheduling limits fit. I cannot promise a result or a number of sessions. When symptoms are severe, a medical provider should be part of care. My practice is not crisis care; call or text 988, or call 911 for a crisis.
