A demanding program or a new role can leave you wondering when ordinary uncertainty became so exhausting. I see adults online while they are physically in Massachusetts, especially those roughly 20 to 45. College, graduate and medical students, young professionals and adults considering a different path can bring those questions to our work. You do not need to decide on a label before calling.
Being in Massachusetts When We Meet
Your physical location determines whether an appointment can happen. For this online option, you must be in Massachusetts during the session, even if your permanent address is elsewhere. Let me know when plans change. My other licensed states are Connecticut, New Jersey and Rhode Island; online therapy does not remove that boundary. I am licensed in Massachusetts as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), license LICSW1142286.
Summer Without a New Intake Story
If Massachusetts is where you spend the school year and Connecticut is where you spend summer, we can continue meeting online. The same physical-location rule applies every time. Keeping one therapist lets us carry forward what we have discussed about perfectionism, relationships or the decision after graduation, rather than rebuilding that context.
A Workday Across a State Line
Living in one licensed state and working in another can still allow regular care. An appointment during a lunch hour needs privacy, sufficient time and a location where I am licensed. Tell me where the office is for that session. If you will be outside the four states, we need to reschedule.
When Comparison Takes Over
You may assume everyone in a class or workplace knows more than you do. I use CBT to separate observations from predictions about your ability. We can examine a recent example, such as avoiding a question in a meeting, and consider a response you are willing to try while some uncertainty remains.

I draw on ACT when waiting to feel certain is delaying a choice that matters. We can discuss what you want school, work or relationships to reflect, then identify a small action. A difficult feeling does not have to disappear before we examine your options. I cannot promise a particular result from that work.
Time and Privacy for Sessions
My appointments are daytime on weekdays, with no evenings or weekends. A gap between classes may work if it leaves room for a private conversation. Use a phone or computer with a stable connection. Consider who might overhear and what comes immediately afterward when deciding where to join the appointment.
The Intake and Session Fee
The intake fee is confirmed during your free consultation. The intake lasts 60 minutes and includes your history and shared goals. Individual sessions are $175 for 45 minutes, weekly or every other week. I offer private pay as well as accepting some insurance plans. Use the free 15-minute consultation to ask about your plan. Superbills are available for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Ask your plan directly; reimbursement is not guaranteed.
