Online Therapy in Connecticut

Talk about anxiety, school pressure or a change of direction from a private place in Connecticut.

A Connecticut Appointment With Options

I work with adults in Connecticut who want a place to examine the thoughts and decisions taking up their day. My focus includes people roughly 20 to 45, from students to new parents and professionals. Online therapy offers one way to meet; my Shelton office is another. We can discuss which format suits your weekday responsibilities before choosing an appointment.

Your Location at Session Time

For a Connecticut online appointment, you must physically be in Connecticut when we meet. A Connecticut address does not cover a session taken somewhere else. I am also licensed in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Rhode Island, so tell me about travel or a temporary stay before assuming the usual appointment can continue. I am licensed in Connecticut as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), license #008964.

Keeping Care Through a Semester

A school year in Massachusetts and summer in Connecticut can include the same therapist. We can return to your goals without retelling the whole intake history. Your physical location still needs to be in a licensed state for each appointment, including breaks and the weeks when you are packing or visiting family.

Home and Work in Different States

If you live in Connecticut and work in another licensed state, a private lunch hour appointment may be an option. Check where you will be that day and allow the full session time. We can discuss scheduling changes when your work location shifts, rather than relying on your home address.

The Worry Behind a Decision

An uncertain assignment, an unanswered message or a parenting question can set off hours of second guessing. I draw on CBT to look at the prediction and the evidence. We might practice a response to the bully in your brain, then review what happened when you used it outside the appointment.

I can help you examine a difficult week without asking you to explain it perfectly.

An Office Conversation in Shelton

For in-person therapy, I meet at 1000 Bridgeport Ave, Suite 307, Shelton, CT 06484. You can ask about using office and online appointments at different times. Parking details are shared before your first visit. Both formats follow my daytime weekday schedule; I do not offer evening or weekend sessions.

History, Goals and Ongoing Work

The 60-minute intake covers mental health, medical, social, family, educational and work history. We decide what you want to address together. Later sessions may include discussing low motivation, practicing a boundary or choosing an action connected to your values. We revisit the goals rather than promising that change follows a fixed timeline.

Cost Before Scheduling

The intake fee is confirmed during your free consultation. Individual therapy is $175 for 45 minutes, weekly or every other week. I accept some insurance plans and also see clients paying privately. We can check questions about your plan during a free 15-minute consultation. I can provide superbills for possible out-of-network reimbursement; check your plan because payment back to you is not guaranteed. Bring budget questions before deciding about the intake.

Preparing for an Online Conversation

Choose a private space with a stable connection and a phone or computer. Think of one recent situation you want to discuss, not a perfect account of your entire life. I work with adults ages 18 and up choosing therapy for themselves. You can reach me by phone, email or the contact form.
