The Person Behind B Moore Counseling

About Bridget Moore, LCSW

An advocate, educator, social skills trainer, and therapist. One practice, with your goals at the center.

Hi, I’m Bridget

I’m Bridget Moore, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the person behind B Moore Counseling. I work with adults who are choosing therapy for themselves, especially people in their 20s, 30s and 40s facing school, work, moving, or becoming a parent.

Anxiety and stress are my primary focus. I also work with depression, life transitions, and parental overwhelm. You can bring the thoughts that keep circling, the decisions you keep revisiting, or the small things that have started to feel bigger.

Why My Own Practice

I started my own practice to bring my social work hats together in one place: advocate, educator, social skills trainer, and therapist. Those roles give me different ways to understand what is happening in your day and what you want to change.

Sometimes we need to talk through a pattern. Sometimes it helps to work on a skill or look at a decision from another angle. I want our time to connect with the life you’re actually living outside of sessions.

The Work That Shaped Me

My background includes community mental health, high schools, and private practice. Working in those settings has brought the roles of relationships, education, and everyday demands into the way I think about therapy.

In our intake, I ask about your mental health, medical, social, family, educational, and work history. That 60-minute conversation helps us see more than the concern that brought you in and gives us a starting point for setting goals together.

Who I Work With Best

I work with adults 18 and up who want to change the path they’re on. That includes college, grad, and medical students, young professionals, new parents, and people considering a new job or career.

You might want an outside perspective on your direction, find yourself catastrophizing about the future, or notice that overwhelm leads you to isolate. We can begin with those patterns, even if you don’t yet know how to explain them.

What Sessions Feel Like

My style is collaborative, practical, goal based, and conversational. We work together on what you want from therapy rather than treating your goals as a checklist someone else has written.

I draw on CBT, ACT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, and person-centered therapy. We can look at thoughts, connect patterns, and work on skills. Individual sessions last 45 minutes, and we meet weekly or every other week.

A Daytime Practice

I’m a mom of three, and I keep a weekday daytime schedule. I’m not available for evening or weekend appointments. We can discuss how daytime sessions might fit with school, work, or family responsibilities.

Between sessions, clients can text quick updates, celebrate wins, or arrange scheduling changes. Texting is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911.

An Honest Approach

What I Won’t Promise

I won’t promise a particular outcome. We can set goals around managing thoughts, reducing second guessing, or making decisions with more confidence, but therapy doesn’t come with guarantees.
