In-Person Therapy in Shelton, CT

I meet with adults in Shelton during weekday daytime hours.

A Conversation in Person

Some clients prefer leaving home or work to talk face to face. At my Shelton office, I work with adults seeking therapy for anxiety, depression and life changes. You might be starting a job, feeling overwhelmed by small decisions or wanting an outside perspective on the path you are taking.

Where We Meet

1000 Bridgeport Ave
Suite 307
Shelton, CT 06484

My office is at 1000 Bridgeport Ave, Suite 307, Shelton, CT 06484. Use that full address when planning your visit. The office is on Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton; parking details are shared before your first visit.

Who Comes in Person

I see adults ages 18 and up who want therapy for themselves. College and graduate students, young professionals and adults changing careers or becoming parents may prefer an appointment in the same room instead of fitting a video conversation into home life.

Daytime on Weekdays

I keep a weekday daytime schedule, with no evening or weekend appointments. Before choosing in-person therapy, consider the time you need to get here and return to class, work or family responsibilities. We can discuss availability during the free consultation.

Your First Visit

01

Before Your First Visit

Plan to arrive a few minutes early for your first appointment. The intake lasts 60 minutes, so leave room in your day for that longer conversation. Bring the concerns you want to discuss; you do not need a polished explanation of everything that feels difficult. A recent example from your week can help us start.

02

Our Intake Conversation

I ask about your mental health, medical, social and family history, along with school and work. That background helps me understand the concerns bringing you in now. We set goals together rather than assuming that your biggest priority is the first thing you mention.

03

After the First Appointment

Individual sessions are 45 minutes, weekly or every other week. We can return to a recent example, work on a thought that keeps coming up or practice a skill for a conversation ahead. I want the work to connect to what actually happens during your week.

Mixing Online and In Person

You can discuss using both formats as your schedule changes. For online sessions, you must be physically in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey or Rhode Island at the time we meet. Let me know your location and any scheduling changes rather than assuming your usual plan still applies.

Planning for the Cost

The intake fee is confirmed during your free consultation. The intake lasts 60 minutes, and a 45-minute individual session is $175. I accept some insurance plans and also offer private pay. Ask about your plan during the free 15-minute consultation. If you plan to seek out-of-network reimbursement, ask your plan about benefits before counting on that money; reimbursement is not guaranteed.

Questions Before You Arrive

Call (203) 308-5030 or email bridget@bmoorecounseling.com to discuss a visit. Ask about the appointment or details you need before coming in. Between sessions, texts can cover scheduling and quick updates, but they are not for emergencies.

Some conversations are easier in the same room.
