Therapy for Anxiety, Depression and Big Life Changes
One therapist, two ways to meet. Individual 45-minute sessions in person in Shelton or online in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.
A Place to Sort Out What Is Happening
I work with adults 18 and up who are seeking therapy for themselves, especially college students, grad and medical students, young professionals, and adults reconsidering their direction. Anxiety and stress are my primary focus. Depression, life transitions, and parental overwhelm also bring clients here. We can start with the part of your week that has been hardest to manage.
Therapy Services
These concerns often overlap. You do not need to choose a single category before we talk. A worry about work may connect to a move, or low motivation may show up during a semester change. I listen for those connections and help you identify a goal we can work on together.

Anxiety and Stress
When future worries and second guessing keep taking up your day.

Depression
For the overwhelm, pulling away, and motivation that feels out of reach.

Life Transitions
Moving, changing careers, or deciding what comes next for you.

College and Grad Students
Support through college and grad school, and the demands of internships, practicums, and residency

Young Professionals
New jobs, big decisions, and figuring out your own direction.

New Parents
Room to talk about parental overwhelm and your changing day-to-day life.
More Specific Concerns

Burnout and Work Stress
Discuss the pressure of a new job, the energy work takes and the choices you are considering.

Therapy for Medical and Health Students
Time to discuss academic pressure, comparison and location changes during medical, nursing or other health training.

People Pleasing and Second Guessing
Examine the urge to agree, check again or let someone else’s opinion outweigh your own.

Overthinking and Worry
Sort practical preparation from the predictions and repeated questions that keep taking up your attention.

Moving for School or Work
Plan for care that can continue across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Rhode Island.
What Every Session Has in Common
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I am Bridget Moore, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I bring the perspectives of an advocate, educator, social skills trainer, and therapist into our conversations.
Goals We Set Together
The intake gives us time to discuss your history and priorities. I want our goals to reflect what you hope to address, rather than assume what should matter most.
Skills for Your Actual Week
We can practice responding to thoughts, handling difficult emotions, or making a decision. Between appointments, you try the skill in a real situation and tell me what you noticed.
Room for a Quick Update
Clients can text me about quick wins and scheduling changes between sessions. Those messages are not for emergencies or a substitute for the time we set aside to meet.
I want our work to connect to the decisions you face outside this room.
Bridget Moore, LCSWWho I Am Not the Right Fit For
Teens Sent by Parents
My practice is for adults who want therapy for themselves. I do not work with teens brought to treatment by their parents.
Crisis Care
I do not provide emergency care. If you need immediate help, call or text 988, or call 911.
Evenings and Weekends
I keep a weekday daytime schedule. If you need appointments after work or on weekends, my availability will not be the right match.
Methods I Draw On
I use CBT, ACT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, and person-centered therapy. The approach depends on what we are examining, such as a repeated thought, an earlier pattern, or a choice connected to your values.
Read About My ApproachThe Time We Set Aside
The intake fee is confirmed during your free consultation. Our intake lasts 60 minutes. Individual 45-minute sessions are $175, weekly or every other week. I accept some insurance plans alongside private pay; we can discuss your plan in a free 15-minute consultation. Superbills are available for possible out-of-network reimbursement, which is not guaranteed. You must be physically in a licensed state for each online appointment.
A Conversation Before We Begin
A consultation gives you time to ask about fit, session format, and daytime availability. I can hear what prompted you to look for therapy before we discuss an intake appointment.
